Trane Cemetery War Memorial 1924-2024

 

Friday 15th November 2024 marked the one hundred year anniversary of the unveiling and dedication of the War Memorial at Trane Cemetery.

We were proud to hold a re-dedication service in November 2024; The service was led by the Reverend Belinda Huxtable with members of the Royal British Legion and Tonyrefail & District Community Council.

The original Dedication of the War memorial took place on Saturday 15th November 1924 at 2:30pm with the procession forming on The Square in Tonyrefail, making its way along Waunrhydd Road and on to Trane Cemetery.

Tonyrefail Community Council has been incredibly fortunate to be gifted an original copy of the Order of Service from 1924, which is now proudly on display in the Council office at Trane Cemetery.
