Applying for an Interment
The Application for Interment Form is required when booking a burial at the Cemetery. This covers both full burials and the interment of cremated remains.
Erecting a Memorial
A Memorial may only be erected by the owner/s of the Exclusive Right of Burial.
A permit is required before any works can be carried out. This includes the first installation of a headstone, removal and any subsequent re-installations for additional inscriptions, etc.
Your Memorial Mason will be able to assist in completing the Memorial Permit Application form.

Upon receipt of the application, the Cemetery Office will check the form and then issue the Mason with a Works Permit to proceed with the works.
Transferring the Exclusive Right of Burial
It is possible to transfer the ownership of the Exclusive Right of Burial. Please contact the office for further details. Please note that due to data protection we will not be able to tell you the name of any grave owner.

Memorial Benches
Tonyrefail & District Community Council supports the needs and principles of allowing memorial benches within Trane Cemetery and the wider district, and is mindful that these facilities are enjoyed by a wide range of people.
All applications for memorial benches should be completed on the official request form and be signed by the donor.
Please ensure you have read the Council’s Memorial Bench Policy, below, before making an application.
